CSG is a Certified B Corporation

We’re proud to announce that CSG is now a Certified B Corporation—a business that meets the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. With this certification, we join the ranks of some of the world’s most well-respected businesses, including Patagonia, Allbirds, Ben & Jerry’s, Dr. Bronner’s and over 3,200 other businesses in 71 countries around the world.

What is a B Corp?

B Corp is a global community of companies that believe business can (and must) help answer the world’s problems. B Lab—the nonprofit that awards B Corp certification—evaluated CSG based on hundreds of criteria, assessing CSG’s impact on its employees, suppliers, community and the environment against a set of comprehensive standards for social and environmental performance, ethical behavior, accountability and transparency. We spent more than a year and a half gathering data, documenting and planning to complete the stringent certification process.

What does this mean for CSG?

We didn’t make this decision lightly. Maintaining our B Corp status will challenge us to constantly think about how we are affecting our employees, the individuals in our services, the communities we serve and the environment. It’s a commitment that forces us to be accountable and think holistically about everything we do.

What happens next?

B Corp certification was a milestone for CSG, but our work is far from over. The certification process showed us that while we’re doing a lot of things right, there are still some things we could be doing better. We’ll be looking for ways to include more employees in developing solutions, updating our assessment, continuously improving our practices and becoming more involved in the business for good movement.
