Community Services Group (CSG) is proud to announce that Denise Sechrist has been selected as our next Vice President of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services, effective July 1, 2025.
Denise brings more than 32 years of leadership experience at CSG to this new role, along with a deep commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the staff who serve them.
We’re excited to welcome her to this new role!
Denise began her career at CSG in Mental Health Residential Services after earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lycoming College. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles that reflect her dedication to learning, growth, and leadership, from Residential Program Supervisor and Assistant Program Director to Program Director for IDD Residential Services in Lycoming, Clinton, and CMSU regions.
Since 2015, Denise has served as Director of IDD Services, overseeing operations across the Northeast and Central regions of Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, CSG expanded Lifesharing and Supported Living Services into new counties, strengthening our mission to help individuals live meaningful, independent lives in their communities.
Denise succeeds Peg Van Schaick, who recently retired after 39 years with CSG. Peg’s leadership helped shape IDD Services into what it is today, and Denise’s deep understanding of CSG’s programs and people will ensure a smooth transition and continued success.
Reflecting on her career, Denise shared that moving into IDD services in 2009 “felt like finding the work I was meant to do.” That sense of purpose continues to guide her today as she leads CSG’s IDD teams into the future.
As Vice President of IDD Services, Denise will continue to champion person-centered care, support program innovation, and nurture the growth of staff across all IDD service areas. Her leadership reflects the best of what CSG stands for: compassion, integrity, and dedication to empowering individuals to thrive in their communities.
Please join us in congratulating Denise on this exciting new chapter and in celebrating her continued impact on the CSG community.
