CONCEPTS of Lehigh Valley Announces Expansion and Upgrade Plans
New Facility and New Technology Increase Adult Habilitation and Support Services Offering
Mountville, Pa. (May 04, 2015) – Community Services Group’s (CSG) Lehigh Valley CONCEPTS program moved to a new permanent location on April 20, 2015, announced CSG President, Susan Blue. The new facility will allow the program to increase the number of individuals it serves by nearly 30%.
The CONCEPTS program provides opportunities for young adults aged 21-25 that have intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate in activities that are both supportive and educational.
“The most exciting enhancement of the new site is its modern technology,” said Brooke Holton, Program Director for the CONCEPTS Program. “We’re eager to begin use of a wide variety of technological tools including tablets, televisions, laptops and other advanced devices to help meet the needs of our individuals.”
The new facility, located at 4155 Independence Drive, in Schnecksville will also offer a recently renovated space that will allow the program to provide services to approximately 39 individuals, a significant increase from the 27 who currently participate in the CONCEPTS program.
CONCEPTS will require additional staff to accommodate new individuals and maintain its quality of service. A job fair is planned for May to support the expansion.
